A talented DJ in the world of male dominant music genre, Monika Zikri aka Asterisk discovered the sound of Drum and Bass while studying in Seattle. She moved from Jakarta, Indonesia after high school to get her Finance degree in Seattle but it wasn’t until she moved Portland that she began to follow her dream in Drum and Bass life. Played at numerous events in the Northwest such as Planet of the Drums tour, Divalicious, Freak show tour, Rotoscope, Onset, Proper and Oomph! She established her sound and presence in Northwest Drum and Bass scene. The Indonesian native was resident at club Ohm, Drum and Bass radio at KPSU 98.3 FM alongside Crushed crew in Portland, Oregon. She was also a part of Godz of Thunder crew alongside Shylok and Colonel MC.

Currently residing in Los Angeles, she had put together Drum and Bass night in downtown Los Angeles and launched Drum and Bass internet radio for Justin118sound. She gained recognition in Los Angeles and was invited to play at Respect, Funktion, Muse, Refuge, Intercept, Justin118sound, Temple of Boom and many more. She was also invited to play at Vegas Music Conference party.

Asterisk smoothly blends different moods of Drum and Bass from dark and brooding to fierce and ferocious, while always keeping the sound running. Come see how her charismatic style and presence behind the decks is guaranteed to move the floor!
